Thank the Lord for your interpretation of the Advent. Mark symbolically represent (Syn-ec'-do-che of part) the confession of the Roman's centurion with the entire Roman Rule that our Lord is indeed the "Son of God" (Mark 15:39)

I heard an excellent homily this Advent that has kept me thinking. It described Advent into Christmas as being, "are you ready for the end of the world?" Your message further defines and is so rich in real Hope.
I am so grateful to God for making it possible for you to do the work you do. And, sincerely thankful to you in answering that call.

I love how Advent and Christmas point us towards Easter. We're excited for the arrival of this new little baby, but then are arrested by the thought that he is coming to die for our salvation.
I had never thought of Advent or Christmas as revolutionary before, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. To live a Catholic and Christian life in today's western world is to live the life of a revolutionary and to invite the discomfort of the establishment.

this is great. It shows how Jesus Christ is King, now and
forever. He has taken the place of earthly kings.

At a recent homily during the week day Mass last week, our priest spoke how the Advent readings are truly counter-culture, especially in our consumer driven world.
Yes, Christianity is the "strangest way".
